Feeling stuck? Try shifting 27 items in your space to bring in change
Updated: Mar 6
So life isn’t moving forward for you at the moment. And not only is it not moving forward, it actually feels stuck. You have ambitions, dreams and goals you want to make reality, but you just don’t know how to make any of it happen. How do you take that step in the right direction?

Getting from where you are to where you want to be can feel like an overwhelming amount of steps. Those heavy thoughts may leave you floundering and keep you frozen were you are. This is because when everything you want seems so far away from your current reality, achieving what you want will feel overwhelming. To be honest, achieving anything other than your usual activities may feel overwhelming.
So how can you move out of that overwhelm head space?
Well, of course I’m going to suggest you reach out to me so we can work together, helping you overcome the blocks keeping you in place, but... I’m also going to suggest a Feng Shui tip. This tip is to ‘move’ 27 objects in your immediate environment.
Now, there are plenty of articles out there that can tell you all about the significance/meaning of the number 27 but I see it as an energetic number. 27 = 2+7 = 9 and in numerology, the number 9 represents completion. The number 9 is full of energy as it carries both the joy of finishing a cycle and the excitement of beginning a new one.
So what does all this mean to you, when you’re feeling stuck?
Well, to start you on your journey of bringing change into your life and pull you out of the stuck phase, move 27 objects in your home.
Those objects can start with your sofa, why not move it a little further away from the wall. Or fluff your cushions up and put them on a different chair. Or change the order of the pictures on your gallery wall.
Why not move the photos on sideboard? Or throw the magazines from the weekend papers in the recycling. Go and twist the plants around, or shuffle your book collection and re-order your records. Reorder your kitchen cupboards and clean under those spices.
Attack your toiletry cabinet too, check the sell by dates and if you’re never going to use that violet scented body wash, give it to someone who will.
And whilst you’re at it, why not dust the whole house, moving all the objects as you dust them (that alone may make you hit the 27 mark straight away). Then get the hoover out too, and open the windows. Let out all the old stale air as you invite in the new.
If you’re into smudging/saging/copaling/palo-santoing/incensing, do this too! But do have a window ajar whilst cleansing your space with smoke so that the old energy has a route out.
And if you’re still feeling motivated to get things moving, why not go through your wardrobe and sort your clothes out? You can order them into piles of keep, charity shop, textile recycle (charities can still re-use the material), sell, or clothes swap with friends.
Look at your shoe collection too, as why are you keeping three pairs of converse which all have holes in their soles? When items are damaged beyond repair, why are you holding onto them, keeping broken energy in your space? Why not let them go, creating space for something new and whole to come in.
So, as you may have figured out, this isn’t just about moving 27 objects in your home, it’s about shifting the energy from stagnant to flowing in your space. Because in moving items, you’re changing what you looking at day-to-day, and this subtle change will help shift that not-moving energy.
The best way to invite change into your environment is to change the energy in your environment.

So, if you can shift 27 items in your space, you can also shift that overwhelmed and stuck feeling within you.
Try my suggestion and see if you feel a little more invigorated after it. Let me know how moving the items worked for you, by reach out to me via email or in the comments.
